CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Danielle Leager the winner of our 2015 DPHC Scholarship. Dani is in her third year of college at
Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD majoring in Biology & Chemistry. Dani helps at both our
DPHC and Eastern Shore shows and our Year end awards banquet. In her first year showing as an
Amateur in 2014, she finished #11 in the Classic Amateur division!!! We wish her success in both
her second year as an Amateur and in her college career!

Our junior/youth club was established in 1997. This gave our youth members an opportunity to
hold their own special events, fund raising activities, awards and recognition of achievements.
The DJPHC has also been very active in community service and supporting various charitable
organizations.
The Delmarva Paint Horse Club also supports its youth members by awarding annual scholarships
to qualified youth members
The scholarship is a one-year renewable, non refundable award to a high school senior, college
freshman, sophomore or junior.
The applicant must be a member of the DPHC and active in the promotion of paint horses. He or
she must graduate or be a graduate of an accredited high school, enrolling or enrolled in a
college program. A GPA of 2.75 must be achieved for an applicant to be considered. The deadline
for applying in March 31st.
The award of $500.00 per year will be paid directly to the financial aid office of the college or
university the recipient is or will be attending. The student may choose for this money to be
applied to the student's tuition, room and board or books. The awarding of the scholarship
will be based on merit, GPA and involvement with the DPHC. Selection will be made by the
scholarship committee.

Kimberly Westcott are the winners of the 2013 DPHC Scholarship. Kim attends Wilmington
University and Danielle attends Salisbury University. We wish both these young ladies much
success in their college career!
